Rowing Lake Union and the Ship Canal

Going through the Lake Washington Cut. This is a man made canal connecting Lake Washington and Lake Union. The water here can be very rough. Note that the Montlake bridge is open. Be aware that the Satellite picture upon which my GPS tracks are overlaid was taken in the summer of 2002. So my winter time row looks like it was done on a summer day with boat traffic and open draw bridges etc. !!
