Ravelery link: Linen Kilt
Notes: I love this skirt. I’ve worn it a couple of times, once on an 87′ day and once on a cool evening. Both times it was comfortable, cool and warm – go figure. It stays in place and moves beautifully, I am so glad that I made it. I got a lot of nice compliments on it too!
I knit the 1×1 ribbing at the waist in garter stitch ribbing to decrease the amount of stretch. (Knit 1 stitch, purl 1 stitch, repeat to end. Next round knit, alternate these two rounds.) Garter stitch ribbing made a huge difference, I highly recommend it.

(A quick Google search reveals that a few people have made this skirt and liked it–here’s one glimpse–so maybe it would be more fun than I thought…) [...]

This is a gorgeous skirt, and yours turned out beautifully. I’ve been wondering if it would be worth getting the book and making at some future date, and apparently the answer is “yes”!

I like this book too, I found a few things I would like to make in future.
